Yeah, I know SMC has some 3x2 joint programs with ND- engineering, etc. I would imagine those are included in the transfer acceptance rate? |
People underestimate how many students crash and burn their freshman year. If you have a good GPA at a lot of schools that are lower ranked than Notre Dame, you’ll be fine there. |
Exactly. I’ll hedge bets on a student whose completed college work with a 3.9 over some high schooler. |
EXCEPT USNWR hasn’t uneven used freshman acceptance rates in the last 6 years. So whatever you thought ranking signaled about selectivity, it didn’t. |
ND has a high retention rate. The kids they’re bringing in are mostly through the established transfer partner program. Filling beds that are empty from kids spending time abroad etc |
They should, seems like they pay attention to everything else except fundamentals |
The rankings were always useless. Now they are even more useless. |
Yes, but you have to be accepted into it when you apply as a freshman. It's also recommended that you go to a community college not a 4 year institution prior to transferring. DD was accepted into the pathways program but declined because she didn't want to go to community college. She decided to apply as a sophomore transfer and got in. She has a 4.0 in college majoring in Engineering. We are not CA residents. |
