The council doesnt fear voters because voters don't give them any reason to fear them. People will vote for these morons regardless of what they do. |

Sheila Reid is so poor that she’s attending the Democratic Convention in Chicago this week.
Brianne has always had a strained relationship with black voters. She’s just paying it forward. Actually you’re paying it forward but who cares? |
Yes please! Making popcorn. |
We have no choice. Unless you vote in the primary, you’re faced with them running unopposed or equivalent. Even in the primary, they largely just carry on because no one understands the local choices. Not many care and those who do tend to be on the government teat. They have no term limits and no accountability. The only hope is the voting reform, term limits and the Feds. |

How come dcum doesn’t seem to care about this types of sweetheart deals? I hope you all remember when it’s time to vote.
If not, continue to enjoy bullets in your walls (Ward 1, multiple reported occurrences), ATVs and illegal scooters under your windows, illegal vending and uninspected food trucks made de facto legal… We left Ward 1 for Ward 2 in large part because of Nadeau and have no regrets. |
|
Actually, one regret, that we took the path of least resistance and left less fortunate neighbors to deal with this dishonest leach with no term limits.
It was reported that her last salary outside of the council was $55k/pa if I recall well. She’s unemployable and has received several sweetheart deals herself on her flat and similar funded by the taxpayer. You bet she’ll stay for life if she can and currently the election system makes that the most likely outcome |
| PP here — all of the foregoing is based on public reporting and Council’s own records. Look it up |
| Is this similar to the Columbia Heights IHOP Deal that was done maybe around 2015 or 2016? |
People don't care because they largely fall into one of two categories: 1. Blue no matter who. They'll vote for whoever has the D. If they vote in the primary, they will vote for whoever "names" endorse. 2. People who have given up on DC elections. They've largely moved or have switched to begging for federal intervention. |
| We are (1) but there is a line and Nadeau and Allen would be it. We aren’t idiots. |
|
Seems that Nadeau’s constituents should’ve paid more attention to the recall.
Do you pay your taxes? |
