Men's fashion - what shoes with shorts?

Johnston and Murphy has some dressier sneakers. I got a pair recently and they are really good for summer looks with shorts during the hot summer evenings:

My husband wears like a light trail shoes...with socks always. I thought socks were actually coming back?

Plus one my DH wore a pair of Bally drivers with nice shorts and a long sleeve light weight polo this evening. He looked hot.
