She wasn’t that into the school so she didn’t accept and ended up choosing a school she loves, but I was surprised. I wonder what would have happened if we tried to get it changed?

No dice. That's what.

If you only want the UP campus, then list your second choice as "The Farmers' High School".

It’s an easy admit for most majors, but for example only 4% were admitted for UP for business this past cycle. So if your child wants business, they should instead apply for undecided and can still take all of the business courses.

That’s not true at all…it’s more like 20%. You are looking at number that enrolled vs number that applied…but yield is only 20%ish, so they are accepting 4X-5X that number to yield the amount that attend.

The other campuses are mostly open admission, basically community colleges, with slightly more of a college feel with D3 sports and one or two dorms per campus (but dead on the weekends).

Penn State also has the summer start session.

Our DC was accepted last year to the main campus with a B average from a local private. Apply early and choose undecided or a low impact major, check you will consider summer start. You aren’t committed to the summer program, but it may indicate a stronger interest in the school. Good luck!

So…sending your kid to another cult campus is even more scarier than sending them to the actual campus where the deeds happened!

Wake up!

It’s possible for your student’s application to be reviewed again for UP if they are first offered admission to a branch campus.

Are you suggesting that these 'deeds' are still ongoing and affecting student safety? Could it be that other colleges also have shameful incidents in their histories? Do you also highlight the shameful actions of other colleges in your posts?

I read that the admit rate for OOS to business school was 5 percent. Not acceptance. Admit rate.

What’s wrong with Altoona? It’s almost as nice as Johnstown.

I think it depends upon what the kid wants. Mine will be applying to Penn State and would be happy to go, but not if they were offered summer start or an alternate campus. They will put one down only bc they have to.
