opportunities for rising 6th grade girl

Not super familiar with Maryland, so apologies in advance if these are not in the right area, but these are some non-Va teams we played that were in the mid-range:
Classics
Lady Blazers
Carroll County Cougars
PPA Premier
A&B Ballers
Hoops the Right Way
Poolesville Falcons
Maryland Blazers
Global Squad
LRC Elite
GLP

Classics, PPA and GLP might be good fits.

Fairfax Stars (Fairfax Co)
Elevate Elite (Reston/Herndon)
Hurricanes (Arlington Co)
Potomac Valley Thunder (McLean/Bethesda)
Vogues (Vienna)
GTS Fusion (Unsure)

There are lots of threads about which are best, but I have found that the top teams in each are all generally about equal. Once you get into high school age groups, the Fairfax Stars totally changes into a national powerhouse, so its a bit of a different club compared to the rest because it is in Nike's EYBL, the top league in the country. At that point, Elevate Elite jumps to Adidas circuits, and GTS Fusion jumps to Under Armor.

But at 6th grade, I would look into whichever team practices closest to your daughter's school so you can make it to practices on time without much trouble.

Great list. Anyone have a kid play for both vogues and stars? Any recommendation or comparison between these two orgs?

Stars (assuming you mean Fairfax Stars) are very competitive. Vogues are more developmental. The two can't be compared!!!

This. No one who can make the stars has any business playing for the Vogues.
