Bumping for feedback. |
if you read through the resources section of this website, it will tell you that this website and others likely like it, or just democratizing access to college consulting. I’m all for it. It’s like having a personal college consultant and essay editor for everyone. If so, I wonder if the quality of all college applications will increase so much now with AI that colleges won’t simply eliminate the bottom 25% automatically like they always have? Making it harder for admissions officers not easier (for those schools that practice holistic admissions). |
Just played around with their tool, it doesn't make a lot of sense.
For instance, it gives a 93% chance of acceptance to VT to a hypothetical kid with a 1200 SAt and a weighted GPA of 3.4. |
I’ve heard some of the big national College consulting firms and even some of the more local highly acclaimed ones are having trouble with new family enrollment this year. People are relying more on other public AI tools that are available and realizing they don’t need to spend 10k, 20k or $30,000.
All they really need is a personal good essay coach to review the essay and application review by former admissions officers. |
