Isn’t online SAT shorter than the paper version? |
I wouldn't start the new breakfast routine on SAT day - I'd establish a regular routine earlier.
You mentioned no eggs but is that just due to the cooking/cleaning? My child likes (both from Costco) some breakfast burritos from the refrigerated section, to heat in the microwave. And egg souffle bites with cheese & bacon, to heat in the microwave. There is a Starbucks brand but Costco now has its own brand. |
You can eat them during breaks, but unless you have an accommodation to eat them in the testing room I think you have to go out of the room to do it. |
End the tyranny of only “breakfast food” for breakfast! If they like a food the rest od the day eat it for breakfast too. Have a turkey sandwich. Meatloaf. Whatever. The morning of my SATs I, a breakfast hater, had my fave chicken casserole. |
My teens like chia pudding for a while. Easy to put in the fridge overnight, then in the morning throw some berries on top and they are good to go for at least a few hours. |
Sure. Extra time is clearly key here. Make sure you wake them up super early. Guessing they can’t manage that in their own, either. |
For my son a few years ago - I got two McDonald sausage, egg, cheese McMuffins and swapped out the muffins with homemade chickpea flour tortillas. He loves the taste. It has a lot of protein and complex carbs.
Also made him cold coffee at home and substituted ground dates for sugar. My aim was to not give him simple sugar or carbs so that his blood sugar remains stable. He remained full, alert and fueled for the duration of the exam. |
This is what happened to DD for the PSATs. She ate breakfast which she never does. She left so ill the whole time. She thought she would have to run to the bathroom and not finish. |
