DH & I have done these types of 5-day trips over the years:
Santa Fe New Orleans CA: La Jolla, Palm Springs, Napa/Sonoma - would like to go to Santa Barbara FL: Miami, Key West, St. Petersburg Montreal>Quebec City by train San Juan, PR Seattle + San Juan Islands |
|
-Waldorf, MD |
| Santa Fe is a great idea. Believe BWI has nonstops to Albuquerque. Then it is a one hour drive. Very good food. Good museums. Different scenery. |
| Asheville is a possibility. |
| Portland, Maine. A foodie Heaven. Boat rides. Very walkable. |
| Luxembourg or Lisbon |
|
Paris
Turks and Caicos Montreux, Switzerland |
Santa Fe is a bunch of old people. If OP has no budget and is that open there are WAY better choices |
|
I can't believe some of the choices given the fact that OP said budget was no issue. Key West? Are you kidding? One of the trashiest places I've ever been to. I do agree with Napa. -Anguilla (four seasons or Belmond) -Turks & Caicos- personally recommend The Shore Club -Rosewood Mayakoba -Napa- various top places to stay -Post Ranch Inn -Twin Farms in VT -Blackberry Farm in TN -Ocean House in Rhode Island -Martha's Vineyard- Harbor View Hotel -Nantucket- The Wauwinet - Eastern Shore, MD- Inn at Perry Cabin |
