I'll try anything from Smitten Kitchen, and some have become staples (one pot tomato farro, zucchini bread, broccoli rubble off the top of my head). I usually google Ina Garten for basics I haven't done befor (I now use her Sunday rib roast for Christmas dinner; will revert to her roast chicken as a standby). I watch some Food Network shows on weekend mornings (the Kitchen, Pioneer Woman) and will try things if they look good.
But usually when I'm trying to think of how to use up ingredients I google "best [whatever I want to make] [kitchen device]" and go from there. I have found a really good Peanut Butter cake for DH's birthday this way, and a genuinely ridiculously delicious Instant Pot Osso Bucco from a random website. The only problem with this method is that I often forget to bookmark and then I cannot remember which website I chose. |
NP, we must have similar tastes because these are my go-tos in general. Also like the Daring Gourmet - she does some really awesome authentic German food. |
