| I just did a refinance on my mortgage and got a zillion calls and letters about buying an insurance policy incase I die on the mortgage. Could be the same kind of call my dad took one out when he bought a car. Unfortunately we ended up using it. |
If a salesman is hounding me, I will call him back and tell him that if you do not stop calling me about the survey, I will complete it with all 1's and 2's for everything. |
| I got a lot of calls and emails asking if I was happy with the car. This was in 2022 when I literally had zero choice about which car I bought. But the salesman was new and it was his first sale so I gave him a break and gave him perfect scores on their quizzes. |
After months of calls I filled out the survey with all 1s saying the guy was fine I til the survey. |
| Call him back and find out. Could he be calling about your tags? |
| Last time I bought a car I agreed for an "all 10" survey for $1,000 off. The manufacturer pays the salesman about $500 for that survey, so he came out ahead versus the sales price of the car. Those surveys are for real and they have to be all 10s or 5s. |

If I had to guess it’s for a survey about the experience or he’s trying to upsell you something extra like an extended warranty or something.

Good idea! I recently bought a car and they were having me fill out surveys before the we'd gotten through all the paperwork. There was a survey item about the financing office, but I hadn't met with the finance person yet. Then when I did the rating survey, I gave all 5's and one 4 (for location). The sales manager came back to me and asked why I didn't give a 5 and pressured me to change it. I really hated that and pretty much shut down after that. I wonder if there was a way he could've explained the importance of perfect scores on the survey without turning me off. |
| Like anything else, if it's really important they can leave a message and explain what this is about. |

Poor you!
I am usually so relieved after I complete my purchase at a car dealership that I feel like I could use a good drink 🍹!! All the pressure from sales tactics -> purchasing options gives me a headache! If they still hounded me by phone afterwards - I would go crazy. Since the deal is done now, I would just ignore their calls. Possibly block them if they get out of hand too! |

OP, is your credit bad?
Dealers sometimes do spot deliveries for approvals that aren't instant, meaning they let you drive the car off the lot even when the bank technically hasn't funded the deal yet. It is entirely possible you might need to go back to resign paperwork at a higher interest rate or down payment, or give the car back. |
| tell him to not call you again otherwise you will give him bad rating. This is unprofessional. |
| I always buy a car with a burner phone and email. |
In Maryland this is called a 4 day letter and they are required to send it to you. We got it via email and USPS for one of our cars. We have perfect credit, but the deal was done late on a Friday and I guess it took the paperwork longer than 4 days to go through. I think we already had online access set up with our bank when we got the letter. |
Exactly!!! Makes me think it’s nothing important for OP |
