Do FCPS middle schools publicly announce Honor Roll recipients?

I know it was a big deal and pretty much the only extremely well attended celebrations for the students at my MS. That and NJHS and SCA were big deals to engage our population. So I guess it depends on where your kid goes to MS (what region /// pyramid, etc)

Just because your kids didn't qualify for honor roll doesn't mean there is grade inflation in middle school. What would even be the point?

Kid got straight As so if there was HR, my kid would get it. Getting straight isn't all that hard is the point.

No honor roll, it would make the students who don’t get As feel bad.

Where I grew up it still gets published in the newspaper/online:
Superior Honor Roll: All As
Honor Roll: All As & Bs
Honorable Mention: As & Bs + no more than 1C

Good to see there are still patches of sanity in the US where equity at all costs has not taken hold.

Yes, our FCPS middle school does all A and A/B honor rolls each quarter. Parents/families are invited to a short ceremony to recognize these students (there are a lot...hundreds). The list of names is not published, nor should it be. Why do you ask?

Thoreau middle school sends a postcard in the mail saying you made the “all A Honor roll”. There is also a A/B honor roll. I don’t believe there is a list for public view though.
