| Yep. I stopped drinking in my early 50s. Rarely touch it. When I do have some it's only a little bit and with plenty of hydration. It started messing my sleep, giving me headaches, and making me dehydrated even at one drink or two. Don't miss it. |
| Yep, that happened to me when I turned 40. Alcohol gave me bad heartburn and a lethargic feeling that lasted days. I quit for a few years, now my body only tolerates occasional white wine and Gin and tonic. |
| Yup. 43 and while I have never tolerated alcohol that well compared to my peers (hangovers after more than 2 drinks), I have noticed that even one drink affects my sleep poorly this year. I was just telling my husband that I think it's time for me to just quit even the occasional drink. I'm a bit sad about it, but I love my body more. |
| Me too! In a way I’m glad because I know it was really bad for me but it is a big social adjustment. I just wish it would happen to DH too! |
| That's normal. Stop drinking. |
|
Me too.
It started with red wine, then white, now tequila. I can't drink any of them without a pounding headache 8 hours later. I'm about to be 50. |
I am post menopausal and can’t tolerate alcohol at all. Can barely drink. |
| I’m at one drink max. And becoming the queen of mocktails when I go out. I start with mocktail and wine with dinner. |
| I had only 1 Aperol Spritz last night. Woke up with a headache and really depressed. I do suffer from depression so that's not totally out of the ordinary, but this morning is more severe. I haven't a drink in 10 days. That's pretty long for me since I was drinking nightly before. Could one fairly week drink cause this? |
| 46 here and if I have even one glass of wine with dinner I have trouble sleeping, have night sweats, etc. That just started a few months ago. I don’t drink much, but it’s annoying that I can’t even enjoy a glass when we go out anymore. It’s not worth the miserable night and being tired and cranky the next day! |
