Hot flashes🥵

I also take progesterone every night, which is a pill. My understanding, from what the doctor told me, is that the estradiol treats my symptoms (for me the worst was the hot flashing and sleep disturbances), and the progesterone protects against uterine cancer. It totally worked. I'm 95% hot flash free, and the occasional ones that I have are tiny compared to the horrible sweaty ones I was having.

Before this, I tried black cohosh, which is an herb that some swear by. It did nothing for me.

Almost identical story for me. I am on the estradiol patch, 2 patches a week. Plus a Mirena IUD which provides a synthetic form of progesterone. All of my nasty systems almost instantly disappeared (insomnia, irritability, hot flashes, brain fog). I love it.

I got on bioidentical hormone replacement therapy a year and a half ago when I felt like I was either going to lose my mind or burst into flames from hot flashes (or both). I get my pellets placed for testosterone and estrogen every three months and do two weeks on and off of oral progesterone. I feel like my old self again and am so happy I made the decision. My mother (who is 76) has been using BHRT for about 30 years with no issues.

Sounds like an excellent plan.
