What can regular people do to help prevent Trump's election?

Vote.

That’s all you can do.

And spare your friends and relatives your political preaching unless you want to be faded out.

Vote FFS.

This one, if well enough organized, actually could move the needle. Pick the states that are close, do the math and move. But here you’d really have to organize and it would take thousands moving their primary residence, but it could be done. It would have to be done very soon in order to meet requirements for residency/registration.

I'm going to vote for Biden just to spite Trump. Trump is just an awful person.

Here he is, caught on hidden video bashing Biden and Harris right after the debate -

Suggestions/ideas from others who legitimately fear what our country and the world will look like if Trump is re-elected?

Explain Project 2025 and Women's health care rights to anyone who seems ambivalent.

Exactly! I would suggest posting about Project 2025 on Reddit. Nobody there has mentioned it yet

No, the current mess is caused almost exclusively by voters tribally going for Republicans no matter how poor quality or corrupt the candidates were or how nasty their politics were. The current mess was caused by the rightward turn of the country by the GOP exploiting quirks in our political system. We’ve suffered under right wing politics and here we are.

People should stop treating presidential debate like a job interview and focus on the last 8 year history. Currently, democrats are self sabotaging themselves by spelling and spreading doubts about Biden's leadership due to his age. There is no big difference between 78 and 81, and we all know the intellectual capacity of the then 70-74 year Mr T when he led the country.

Republicans don’t say vote red no matter who.

That’s democrats: “Vote blue no matter who!!l

And you claim democrats aren’t tribally going for democrats?

Don’t they say better red than dead?

But I think you miss the point. Since the GOP has transformed into the MAGA Trump cult, any Democratic candidate is superior to Trump and his nihilism.

No, republicans don’t say better red than dead. Red means communist. Everyone knows that. Why would republicans say better communist than dead?

Plus better red than dead makes no sense in the context of this conversation. You are grasping at straws and making up very ridiculous claims to justify the tribalism of democrats screaming “vote blue no matter who,” which tells everyone you democrats don’t give a damn who you are voting for.

So good luck with Hunter and his dad.

But the MAGA Trump crowd does love Putin, so the GOP is red in the Cold War sense too.

Send Trump, Putin, Biden and most of the rotten bureaucrats who frequent this board to retirements far away from power and we would all be better off.

Nope. 24x7 grievance for all 17 MSNBC viewers. It's what they want. Let them stew in it.

Do I need to point to the regular splintering of Democratic votes, as in 2016? Yes. Democrats are like house cats. Republicans are like Nazis.

Joe Biden is a vigorous, honest, mentally sharp man, and republicans are Nazis.

He has a 6 handicap, and can carry his own bag!
