VA Learner's Permit practice test resources - HELP!

The one trick question is how many feet do you need to put on your turning signal before taking a left hand turn.

Also look up motorcycle safety when driving in a car.

DD took drivers Ed over the summer during PE10. She has her pink paper. Does she still need to take the learner’s permit test at the dmv?

Yes. The test is how you get a permit…the class or pink card have nothing to do with that (both of my kids had permits before they took the class in school).

REI bike riding class was the best!

The practice tests were how my kid got the best studying

I seem to recall if you paid something like $20 extra, you got access to even more practice tests. We did that. It was a lot of practice questions and I wish he was as determined with academic classes as he was with that test. He used those practice tests until he got 100 on every single one.

Mine failed the test twice. 1st one she did not get thru the signs and 2nd one she missed some questions. she was using other study guides-i was not aware of this. For the 3rd try she used the online DMV study guide and quiz and took the mock quiz ever day a couple of times. Took notes of the ones she got wrong and kept doing the quiz till she memorized all the questions and their correct answer.

I am looking all over the VA DMV website and can find the study guide but not any actual practice exams. Can someone show me where to find them?

Oh! I get it now - it is at the end of each manual section.

He (1) studied the full paper manual, (2) did quizlets on signs, (3) did the The Driver's License Study Guide that contains all of the content in the print version manual along with many practice questions to reinforce the material and prepare users for the Driver Traffic Signs and General Knowledge tests, and (4) did ALL the practice tests here https://www.epermittest.com/virginia/practice-permit-test

What else should he do to pass it on the 2nd try? What is the best site for VA practice tests. He's so discouraged and worried he will never pass. To be honest, I am too.

My kid failed by two questions, if that makes you feel better. I had her study the manual and she passed on the second try. We paid special attention to the questions she remembered missing.

The second part of the test (20 questions where you need to answer correctly 80% has 5-6 trick questions). He needs to learn the distances (how many feet before doing or how many feet do you have to be from y) by heart, and to reason (rather than try to remember) the other ones.
