Best place to buy a comfy chair for a petite person

Creative classics! We are shorter and find their stuff really comfy. We bought a lot of furniture 10 years ago that is still going strong (even with a dog and 4 kids).

Some of the Scandinavian chairs come in different sizes.

I’ve been researching the best accent chair for the past few days because I want to upgrade the look and comfort of my living room. I went through detailed reviews and shortlisted these two options:
Accent Chair with Ottoman

Karl Home Accent Chair

I would skip the basic chair and go for a lift recliner. A godsend for my dad, also a petite man - helps getting out of the chair. A pillow can help with the depth issue.

Pottery Barn has “furniture for small spaces”. My mom has the same issue and loves her small Pottery Barn arm chairs. They are the perfect size.

We got our teeny weeny mom a real cute chair at Home Goods. I think it might be sort of like The Dump in that stuff ends up there because of weird dimensions and odd proportions ( ie the chairs that are too small for most people). The equivalent of getting a deal on all those size six shoes in the clearance section.

The is an old thread but if the recent PP is now looking, I had the exact issue as OP and we found a good chair for a smaller person at Bassett. They had a lot of styles (at the Rockville location) and I took my mom and had her sit in them. She found one she liked. That style came in both swivel and stationary, and we got one of each. Anyway, it has been a great purchase. I highly recommend a trip to Bassett.

Consider the IKEA Tullsta.

I am 5'2" and bought a Tullsta as an accent chair for my bedroom. I then ended up using it as a "desk chair" during Covid.

It works well for casual upright sitting. I have not used it for "curling up" to read or sewing. It doesn't recline so might not be suited to more relaxed postures.

Are you going around and accusing a post in almost every thread of being AI? Because this does not look like AI. There are way too many posts accusing other posters of being AI.

It might be time to think about a self-rising/ lifting chair. Or a firmer chair that's easier to get in and out of. My mom got a wood-backed recliner-rocker at Costo that she adored. It was a little like this:

Agree with this. My FIL has Parkinsons and his self-rising chair helps him stand. Sounds like it would also be helpful with severe arthritis.

NP. Those posts do look like AI. And the links do not work.
