Interlochen Academy?

I looked at it but it was too pricy for us but the academics are not very strong at all. The focus is music, not academics.

Join the Interlochen parents Facebook group. It will give you some more info. I think a lot of people feel that while the camp is great, the year-round academy isn't nearly as good.

You won’t find that as the majority opinion on the Interlochen parents FB page.
It’s funny how people with no connection ruin to a school feel free to make stuff up.

The teachers for string instruments are truly phenomenal, and for a child who wants to be a professional musician, Interlochen could very easily end up being the difference between success and failure. I’ve been amazed by some of the transformations I’ve seen in a student’s playing in just a year or two.

As a camp, Interlochen isn’t really where the very best string players go, but the Academy is a totally different story.
