how easy is it to break an old double-paned window?

The seals on those windows break all the time, we had one break ina room we rarely use. It wasn't anyone's fault.

When I was a little girl, one night I was using my finger to gently write in the frost on my (obv old, uninsulated) window. It shattered! My parents, who were generally pretty strict, weren’t mad at all and just glad I was OK.
