Costs associated with travel soccer?

The jump from rec to travel will be a shock to the core with most clubs. Our team fees have very little transparency for what they're for, which is very frustrating. Typically, it's tournament fees for the players as well. However, we pay tournament fees for tournaments we're not even rostered for, which I think is bs

Why arw you paying tournament fees for tournaments your team isnt playing in?

This is the only time I wish our coach has 2 or 3 teams.

The poster said the team is playing in the tournament but their kid isn’t rostered for the tournament.

No, the Club Fee is $2100. The other fees were team fees paid as we went.
Happy to clarify.

ok, that feels slightly less crazy. I think all of us who total everything up including hotel rooms, tolls, etc are surprised at the number we get to.

My niece is in travel hockey. It makes soccer look like pennies

Yes! Hockey is terrible and so is swim and volleyball. Soccer seems cheap in comparison!

Uniform kits are only good for two years because Nike/ Adidas and other manufacturers stop making them after two years. The club we have been with for years tries to let seniors use the same kits for a third year off they can get hold of enough jerseys for whoever is new. Works some years but not others.joining a club going into year 2 of the cycle definitely is not great though.

Just keep in mind none of this will be worth it.

You’re going to miss rec…
