Writing this from Paris, everyone is wearing sneakers except older folks (seniors). There are a ton of Americans here so you will not stand out because there are so many of us. It’s been a wonderful trip and the weather is perfect.

I'm not going to Paris aside from a few hours after landing, going to see family in a small town. Just wondering about practical not totally awful choices for the weather which is going to suck a bit! So far planning on Converse mid tops, New Balance neutral sneakers and a pair of flats. |

Don't wear a white sneaker you will be sending a beacon that screams "AMERICAN TOURIST"
Wear dark colors. The French prefer navy. Nothing garish or bright and dark shoes - black, dark grey, navy. You want to be a tasteful part of Paris not stand out like a pig's ear. |

DP- Just got back from Paris and it was chilly. I don’t know what the recent average highs are for early June but it was definitely not warm . |
