I'm not OP, but generally Coronado Springs is the cheapest of the moderates-for the regular rooms. The tower is more expensive.

Coronado Springs is the cheapest of the moderates because it caters to conferences. They make up for it in that the food on site is more expensive than comparable food at any other resort. The other moderates price their food the same as the value hotels. We usually do a value or Port Orleans.

Wow! I never noticed that before! I just did a quick comparison of the food court at Coronado Springs (El Mercado) and the food court at Port Orleans River side and one example is a bacon cheeseburger at Coronado is $16.50 and the bacon cheeseburger at Port Orleans Riverside is $13.49.

I don't think a moderate resort is worth it. Either go for deluxe so you get the extra magic hours, or save the money by staying at a value resort and use it for better dining and Genie+. You can also split your stay; WDW will transport your bags.
