That's outdated info. They will draw from the adjacent schools like Wheaton, WJ, Einstein and BCC. |

| The WJ overcrowding is so depressing. We bought in this neighborhood 13 years ago when my yohngest was a baby and they already knew this was a big problem coming. Now the soonest there will be relief is her junior year and given how they keep pushing things back, I’m not even optimistic for this. We should have just moved to DC and sent our kids to private school and I could have saved roughly 2500 hours of my life in shorter commuting times. A school that’s almost 40% over capacity is just not functional or fair. With they could find someplace else to put the kids from the other school for the next two years so they could get Woodward opened sooner instead of using it as a MS holding school for 2 years. |
That's wrong too. The scope is several more high schools and their feeder MSs. https://gis.mcpsmd.org/boundarystudypdfs/WoodwardHS_BoundaryStudyScope.pdf |
What do you mean MS holding school? It will be holding school for Northwood which is a high school. |
Yes. And keep in mind that students from any of these schools may be reassigned to other schools within the study, not necessarily just Woodward itself. |
Exactly. MCPS needs to rename this study to the west, south, and east county secondary schools study. It has evolved in its scope far beyond Woodward HS and yet the name remains the Woodward study. |
