A 216 is at the 62nd percentile for a child in the spring of 5th grade for MAP-R (see this calculator: https://sites.google.com/view/nweapercentilecalculator). Who is telling you that is below grade level? |
They clearly need support, and you have a good case for it. |
| Nothing, that's the problem. Get a tutor this summer and work with them. |
| Again. Where are you seeing he is below grade level? Who told you that? |
I got it from this: https://masterygenius.com/blog/nwea-map-scores/#5th-grade |
Acc to that 216 is between 70-79 percentile. How is that below grade level? |
Sorry 60-69. Even that is not below grade level. What are you freaking out about? |
Where are you seeing this? You need to look at Spring scores for 5th grade. |
Sorry my mistake. |
Those tables match the PP report of 216 correlating to 62 percentile for 5th grade spring. OP - are you understanding what percentiles are? From the same page: “What do MAP Score Percentiles Mean? A score in the 50th percentile is considered “average” – meaning it is right in the middle of where students in that specific grade score during that time of the year. A score in the 95th percentile means that is it better than 95% of other children in that grade level during that time of the year.” In other words, your kid is above average. |
