Me too. Votive holders are actually popular and $60 for each? |
| Harry & David |
I always see these advertised in the New Yorker and i didn’t think anyone actually bought them! I thought it was someone’s vanity project or something. I mean what a weird thing to buy. |
|
I cannot imagine what I’d do with a huge basket of olive oil. My one $10 bottle lasts me most of the year!
I vote flowers and a restaurant gift card. |
| Look at Zingermans |
| Flowers plus a gift card to their local bookstore? |
Part of me wonders if this recommendation was by was someone vested in that company? |
|
I prefer balsamic / fruit vinegar samplers to olive oil samplers, personally. Lots of small sample bottles beat bigger bottles. I use them to make salad dressings.
Jam samplers are also good, as are flavored maple syrup samplers. Basically, flavored condiments that last a long time in the pantry are my vote. |
| How about a gift card to WF? |
| Maybe a gold belly gift card? |
| Flowers. |
I love the idea of these being like a currency...that there are big increment smells and little increment smells. Like Pina Colada Vacation divides up into Basic Vanilla and Upside-Down Pineapple Cake SAHM. Or that they circulate like currency. |
| I would say flowers or maybe an Edible Arrangement. |
| Agree with flowers. Or something unique that represents your city, if you have something like that. |
