If it's a dedicated smoker AND you're comfortable tending a fire constantly on a long smoke then the bullet is better. The kamados are great for an all in one option, because they can do really high heat and you can go to bed on an overnight smoke. I switched to a BGE when my bullet rusted out and while it doesn't get as much of that glorious smoke into pork butts and brisket nobody seems to notice but me. |
DH is our bbq master and this is his preference as well. My parents have the egg and find it hard to use correctly. |
| The only way to grill. It’s not really difficult to get going. You light it with the air wide open and come back 30 minutes later and adjust the air flow. I never have a problem finding 30 minutes of something to do instead of standing over the grill watching it warm up. |
