Diverging Diamond Interchange

Anonymous
Three of them were installed near me in the Detroit suburbs a few years ago. The two I travel through regularly I'd consider to be quite successful. They dramatically reduce the time spent waiting at the particular intersections, and I don't see the kind of backups that there used to be.

They're signed well. There was a lot of press and information presented about them ahead of time, and I think they were a complete non-event when they opened.

Probably hard to get used to but loooks like it works

Anyone been on the on in Research Triangle?

Made perfect sense until 2:24 when they mentioned cyclists using the interchange. This of course is where the element of chaos will be introduced, because as even cyclists will happily tell you - cyclists won’t follow ANY traffic law.
