The only book I liked was the second, Kate's book (Season 2) and they couldn't be more different from each other. I didn't like Season two of the show.

But, I couldn't get through Book 1 (Season 1 of the show) but I really loved the show.

I haven't tried Season 3 or any of the other books.

If you're looking for historical romances I think two of the best are Loretta Chase's Lord of Scoundrels (has greater depth in story and characters, but still fun) and Devil's Bride that I mentioned above.

I preferred the television version to the books. it reminds me of the Forsyte Saga which PBS did an amazing adaptation of. (Galworthy)

There’s a reboot of The Forsythe Saga happening! Eleanor Tomlinson from Poldark posted about it.
