I had one diagnosed around 10 weeks after I went in for spotting. Was my third pregnancy and I didn’t have one with either of my first two pregnancies for my older two children so I got concerned. It was considered medium, and my doctor wasn’t non-chalant, just told me the general statistics and said we would watch and see. I was told no intercourse. I think at 12 weeks it had gotten a little bigger and I continued to have some spotting. It didn’t resolve by 20 weeks, but the MFM doctor I saw based on my age at 20 weeks was pretty non-chalant about it. The rest of my pregnancy and birth was uneventful and my son is now a happy 1 year old. I asked throughout my pregnancy if it resolved and never got a clear answer- I think it became harder to tell later in the pregnancy maybe? It’s hard not to worry- but I think they’re a lot more normal than I realized. |
