More swatting I would guess. Keep freaking out, the swatters love that

so, MCPD and MCPS should ignore the threats? I can just see it now.. according to you, we should all ignore the threats, and then a real threat comes, which you seem to think everyone should ignore, then something bad happens to the kids. What would you say then? Shlt happens? NBD.. it happens to all schools?

No Whitman is not locked down. There is nothing on Twitter either.

If they've confirmed the threat at Whitman, why not Wooton?

No threat at Wootton. Was a personal incident with no threat to students.

Personal incident involving police? An ambulance I could understand as a personal medical incident....

Can we hold parents accountable when their children are caught swatting schools? I understand that a young person age 12 was caught in recent months for swatting schools, but he could not be held accountable due to his young age.

The parents may have no idea or any reason to suspect. May be a kid playing on his computer. Different from not securing a firearm. But I appreciate your frustration.

Yes. Unless you work in LE or emergency services I understand why this doesn’t always make sense.

That’s a whole different topic. That had nothing to do with this post.

Does anyone have specific, credible info about why the police presence at Wootton? Was the school on lock down? Any communication from the school?

Whitman evacuated due to a bomb threat. Police investigated, and the school re-opened just over an hour later.

Do they have "medical lockdowns"?

I'm out of state.

Our school does medical lockdowns when special needs kids act out/have wellness issues and have to be removed medically or seriously restrained. So they can be discreetly removed from school.

Also oddly when someone got angry and either took a crap in the hall or put crap in the hall.

I live in MC suburbia. It's neither a bad nor an idyllic area.
