You can eat rhum cake.

This. Why did you book a trip there if you have no idea what to do? This is so common on this forum (and other online groups too…) I don’t get it

How does anyone know what to do? It’s normal to ask in advance. Only weird to get there then start thinking about it.

Before planning a trip, you do some research and buy a travel guide. Ask yourself what do I like to do? You activate your critical thinking, but if that’s too much for you, go ahead and go bar- hopping and fall asleep on the beach the whole time.

You know, some people are a little more adventurous and will book something on a whim, or since this is a group of people maybe it was someone else's suggestion, and OP being easy going, readily agreed. There is plenty of time to figure out what to do without having to do some deep critical thinking when it's not actually that deep.

Jesus Christ, can y'all just answer the question? Part of trip planning is finding out ideas from other people

I'm going to San Diego this week and while I have an idea of the things I want to do, I reached out to some friends who've been there and lived in the area for a fun ideas I may not know about

I mean it's the travel discussion forum. Discuss, don't be b******

No. We just went to Key Largo for spring break. I wish we had stayed in Marathon and spent more time at Bahai Honda state park and beach.

PP here. You have to stay at one of the nice resorts, Bakers Cay or Playa Largo. Bahia Honda is nice but no nice resorts near by. Also such a far drive from any of the airports.

After checking out the price for the boat trip to Tortuga, I think I will reroute to Key Largo.

You’re right. Wanting to go to the FL Keys in August reflects a very shallow thinking: temp. above 100 degrees, lots of insects flying and crawling around your body, huracanes, and other wonders. As OP, I’m easy going and adventurous, but not shallow thinking. I much prefer to spend my precious $ in a place with much less nuisances.

Agree! I’m the PP who suggested Fort Zachary Taylor beach. I love that place! Also, it was fun to visit the Hemingway museum and see all the cats with 6 and 7 toes (very cute).

Some people like the heat and humidity. Just sayin…

Or you can ask for recommendations online for free. Stop trolling. You are fully aware that is the entire point of this board.

Point out the low common sense is not trolling. The point is improving the board.

I love Key West wit hall its architecture and nature. I'm happy just to be there and take it all in.

This. Is a very fun place to just be. Wander around and watch what happens.
