What if it reduces the likelihood of a concussion by 1%, is it worth the money?

I don't need as amateur doctor, real life consultant or lobbiest loudmouths saying it's a scam. What makes it worth buying and wearing it?

If you're looking for objective data that directly supports even a mild preventative benefit, it just isn't there yet. It's certainly possible because there is likewise no data that it DOESN'T provide such a benefit either. But there are no publicly available peer reviewed studies confirming a reductive effect on concussions by use of this or similar products. In other words, whatever benefits there are to be had are - at this point - subjective.

Looked at the research on the website and talked to my kids doctor about it 2 years ago. He was very supportive of it, so we dove in.

Between sticks, heads, cleats we spend probably $500 a year, let alone on protective, and that stuff breaks. For another $200 I can help protect the brain. Both my daughter and son (football for him as well) wear it. Neither has had an issue since putting it on, so we are good with it.

One of the docs who developed and tested this is an assistant coach at GP. Not even his team wears it nor do the club teams he coaches at DCE. Scam from a LI doc.
