APS Percentage on IDP and Gifted

Just like it’s very hard to figure out how to sign up to speak at a SB meeting when the info is clearly available online, it’s also very hard to read the clear graphics on the link you post. And it’s very hard to click on the detail link that gives the 2E numbers.

But it’s so easy to complain!

budget has the number listed at each ES with SN. How do you get 2E numbers? had no idea that was the toic this thread...

There are also different categories of APS gifted, so percentages include kids who are only flagged in one area (e.g., music).

OP, you need to stop using abbreviations. Type out what you're saying so we know what you're trying to say.

Nothing that you posted says anything about the percentage of kids on IEPs or identified as gifted, as far as I can see.

There are no 2E numbers. There isn't an official designation as "twice exceptional" in APS. Or in FCPS, for that matter. It just means you have an IEP and are identified as gifted. The school system doesn't also put a 2E label on the child and doesn't count them or track them in any way.

The link I posted was pre-pandemic, they have updated it to 2023. APS must be reading DCUM.

It had current data when I clicked on it when you first posted it. Did you select the correct year from the dropfodn?

No idea. I tried to find recent data, but I know my original link took me to 2019 data.
