Parents showing up to Watkins Mill and MVM to protect their children

Anonymous
Parents going to school to fight kids aren't parents "with no choice," they're part of the problem.

What are you talking about? The adult trespassers at WMHS was reported on by MoCo Show: https://mocoshow.com/2024/05/09/two-tresspassing-adults-escorted-off-campus-following-fight-at-watkins-mill-high-school/

This is so sad. I grew up in Montgomery Village years ago, and attended what was then MVJHS and a very new WMHS. At the time, the high school was state-of-the-art, the teachers were great and the trajectories of the kids were excellent -- admittances to Ivies, T20s, honors programs, etc.

The whole area has transformed so dramatically. I am sorry to read about incidents like these.

What do you mean? Are you saying that the incident did not occur?

I can't walk into my students school at any time. If there isn't a person in the Security office there are people standing directly infront of it.

What a shame

You have to come in thru the office and be buzzed in. But there are fire exits, obviously, and I'm sure a teen can text Dad and say I'll meet you at the side door by the track, and pops can stroll on in and take care of business.

There's no credible source for the principal's letter. As far as I can tell it doesn't exist.

Moco show releases it. Try reading. What sort of person are you to come on here denying what everyone else is saying is fair and has been published??

I think some people are in major denial.

They're not part of the system. The system knows how to Cosa their kids out of bad schools, can afford private or can move. If you don't have those options, how do you send your kid to school when they're being bullied? Most parents don't even know the bullying form exists. I remember reading stories of kids who kill themselves from bullying.
If you feel you have no options do you let your kid be victimized to that extent or do you do something about it?

There seems to be one singular person who comes on this board (and is here around the clock) who will go to any ridiculous extent to defend mcps. Very odd.

According to an MCPS apologist, "it's not *that* bad".
