I hate SYC the most out of all the teams we play. It's consistently been their coaches who are the worst at berating their players during games. That's sad those 2 coaches moving to Arl. I would never allow my kid to have a coach like theirs. We are now with Arl so hoping that won't be us getting them in the future!!

Doubtful, "top team at a big club" Spurs? Manchester United? I don't typically hear anyone in this area say, "Oh, my daughter plays at XXX. It's a big club."

I also highly doubt you've ever thrown a punch in anger at another person. I say this because most people haven't but I love that journey for you.

You have plenty of problems at Arlington like really douchey parents.

Which girls age group?

It all depends on the coach and the team you land. I see quite much more talent on SYC on the boys side.

I keep hearing about SYC players following these coaches but how is that gonna work unless some Arlington players get bumped or do the SYC players take the risk with trying out with everyone else.

Every interaction I've had with SYC coaching staff and parents at the younger ages has been dismal -- screaming coaches, dirty play (e.g., intentional fouls at young ages), foul language, aggressive parents, etc.

SYC has had some success in the younger age groups, but as some have noted some of the SYC coaches have just moved to Arlington. Hopefully, they don't bring the trash game to Arlington.

Are the coaches associated with the “some success in the younger age groups” the same as the coaches who moved over to Arlington, and per chance do you know if they are bringing any of the aggressive parents with them?

On the various threads in this forum I have seen people mention that two SYC coaches who are moving to Arlington for next year (HG and JR) are bringing players with them. I am confused by this since what I've seen says they coached different age groups for SYC than they will for Arlington or they coached girls at SYC and will be coaching boys at Arlington.

If that is the case, what players would they be bringing over? Random kids that like them though they weren't coached by them? Someone please explain...

I think they are mostly talking/ concerned about the 2015 coach since he coached 2015 at syc. I believe the 2014 coach was coach at mls next this past year. I think 2014s are more likely to have kids coming over from mclean.

Why McLean?

McLean is losing a lot of players to Arlington this year due to McLean losing its ECNL teams.

Does anyone know why Arlington 2012s are listed as

Arlington Soccer - 2012G PreAcademy

For the ECNL showcase in SC? They usually go by the PRE-ECNL name…
