We paid for a full year and since we told our club (had a meeting with the new coach and he asked us and we were honest) we are leaving my kid has less play time and in positions they don't play in.
We never know where we will end up and i think it speaks volumes on the these clubs. Grown men acting like babies. Boo hoo you had a full year to make us want to stay and give you more money but now that we have commited to another club they act like this. what a disappointment.
The coach is focusing on the kids that want to be developed by him/her
Obviously your DC doesn't want to be.
I'm not original poster but I disagree with the statement above. Because a player is not returning next year, does not give permission for the coach to mistreat him. The family has paid for a year of development so they are staying until that time is up and the coach should continue to deliver the services he is being paid for. That behavior has nothing to do with development, it's mistreatment. He is being paid to focus on all players until the contract is done. Coaches like this should not be involved in the game. These are kids and this guy is giving the kid the impression that all coaches are like this. If anything, this behavior causes kids to stop liking the game. I have no respect for these types of coaches. As a coach your job is to develop players and help them get to the highest level possible. It may not always be with you. You don't own the player. Just be proud that you have played a part in case they do get to the highest level of the game.
