Alternative to CYA for girls basketball

People aren't answering because other than AAU, this time of the year isn't for basketball.

Try looking at SYA, Dulles Youth Sport, Loudon Basketball Academy, etc.

Summer League Rec and Travel is starting soon. Don't be confused with the word Travel, it just mean playing at FFX schools.

How old is your daughter? Even though travel starts at 5th grade, if she's good enough, she can play up.

Another option is professional small group training. Try Evoball.com

If you volunteered, you would understand the recurring scheduling issues with FCPS school gyms.

There aren't a lot of spring house basketball programs.

I see that nobody answered OP's questions but now that winter registration is getting close, does anyone have recommendations for programs other than CYA. We have hated them, are parent coaches just awful everywhere? The "drafting" is so fake - parents skip the try outs and coaches know who the good kids are from previous years and still pick their own kids' friends in the draft.

The options are SYA, BRYC, Herndon, Reston.

Or Upward if you have little kids and don't mind Christian theming.

CYA stands out as the worst organization. Look into Herndon. It's literally the worst and most unprofessional on and off the courts. And we have often faced no shows playing against them. Run!!! It's not just basketball but all their sports.
