This is one of those times dcum is dead wrong. My kid went to westgate, lemon road for aap, now at Kilmer. They are thriving. I couldn't afford that house just listed, so I'm glad we got in when we did. Feel free to hate. Those of us here are happy.

There’s no hate pp. The discussion is Marshall pyramid in falls church vice McLean schools in the context of high home price (2.3M).

You can get a nice house in McLean at that price point. Doesn’t make sense to buy in summit hills unless you don’t have kids.

I raised two kids in Pimmit. Here's how both progressed:

Westgate >> Kilmer >> Marshall >>UVA
Westgate >> Kilmer >> Marshall >> Pitt

The pyramid is just fine.

When did you graduate? I teach there and Marshall has changed a lot over the years. It’s not what it used to be.

I'm the pp. we were not priced out of McLean but did not want to buy there because we value socioeconomic and racial diversity.
