A lot of coaches don’t want to work with the little ones. When you find good coaches who do, they’re golden. Good coaches can definitely make a huge difference!

Good coaches make all the difference. That matters far more than the club. Find a good coach first, worry about the club second (ability to get there matters most of course!). Every club has good coaches and every club has duds.

We have a new "head coach" in the age group. He came to a bunch of games for every team in this birth year, and stayed to talk to parents after sitting on the bench during the games. I have never heard of him (or honestly many coaches outside my child's age group and our club) but the first impression is that he is interested in all of the kids, and not only his team. My child said they talked about how to do things a little different on the field and the ideas worked. So, we are hopeful about this new coach but only time will tell.
