My husband has a stomach like this and doesn't drink at all.

Sigh. It’s an expression, dear.

My husband has this too OP it's so curious that he is very tall and thin everywhere else. When he works out like runs it disappears pretty quickly but when he stops its right back there huge bowling boll staring at you. Your DH needs to run, bike, swim and do some cardio and men seems to burn this soooo much faster than us.

I don’t want to be scary but my late fiancé had this before he was diagnosed with leukemia. It was because something was going on with his spleen. It was a long time ago so I don’t remember the specific details.

My alcoholic male family members to include my late father all looked like this - skinny legs with bloated, distended bellies. Come to think of it, my paternal grandmother too. I call it the jelly bean look.

I think this is characteristic of liver problems?

Also could be water leaking from organs (like the heart). The water has nowhere to go and accumulates in the belly. Belly will be hard and extended. The water has to be drained. My friend has about 2 liters drained from belly every 6 months.

Does he use a CPAP?

Yes, op, have you never heard of beer belly?

A lot of men, especially as they age, put-on weight faster and it goes straight to their belly .

Look around, quite common.

This runs in my husband's family. All the men have this belly. DH lost weight on Mountjaro and that has helped.

What’s this condition called?

Thank you all for the help.

As for the term “beer belly” I imagine something squishy.

It is not squishy at all. You can actually see a very clear rounded top of it right underneath his chest and very clear rounded bottom around his hips. It is like a oval circle.
Literally like a pregnant belly. Hard, round, and sits right in front of him.

Beer belly is just a way to describe the big distended belly. Would you prefer we call it pregnant belly?

Op again

I am really concerned because it looks unnatural.
I am certain he has a weak core.
He does not exercise.

I do worry about him so much. He also has a very rounded shoulders and neck hump.

But when I mention these things… Instead of saying, he needs to go to the doctor, he’ll say how we don’t have money for a chiropractor, he needs a specialist, he doesn’t have time to exercise.
So I don’t say anything except the Internet. But I do worry very much.

Chiropractors are fake doctors. Does he have any personality disorders that interfere with his self care?
