SOL scores

17:12 here. He got advanced (over 500s) in math, civics, writing, science. This was 8th grade. He's a B-/C+ student with ADHD/inattentive.

I got a 600, 600, 600, and one 491 in science. I find it pretty hard to believe that that's not a mistake in the system or a typo. I think 591 is what they meant to type?? What do I do??

are 600's pretty common?

Bumping b/c curious if 600s are still considered common w/ the new SOL testing?

Thank you. Saw the article in the Post that indicated perfect scores were rare w/ new testing. But then rising 5th grader got 600s across the board so was curious.

My kid got all 600s and is one of those kids that some other posters don't want in the AAP Center classes because he has a 504 for ADHD. These SOL tests are absolutely too easy.

Similar here, only mine has an IEP and also has multiple LDs.

Parents who have received the Sol reports last August, did you receive the official one from VDOE/Pearson which had the SOL logo and very detailed in what they scored in each section (no . Of correct , Lexie level, maths level etc) or the letter that FCPS school prepares which is the high level just stating the score and the performance (pass profile ident etc,.
The VA/Perason one us is below and also
On the links Understanding your child sol reports'

This is very confusing to me as parents receive the official one in August and as some parents just get the high level FCPS prepares. Your response to this would help. If you have received it, please state your school if you don't mind.

I'll reply. We have always received the letter.

We're 1st time SOL takers, so I could be wrong. My understanding is that the progress report will be handed out on the last day of school (or maybe on Tuesday...), and that it will contain a high level (pass/fail/advanced...) description of the SOL results. Then in late July, the full report will be sent home, and it will contain areas of strength and weaknesses against all skills tested.
