For reading, it is mostly practice as long as she has the basics down. Set up a reading minutes goal with a prize, help her make a schedule and enforce extra daily reading time.
For math, what is she behind in? I found by the end of 3rd that my kid understood how to multiply, but needed MUCH more practice on basic math facts/multiplication facts. So I’d quiz her with 5 questions at a time. Then she had to get 3 correct in a row or I’d add more. Then she once she got all 5 right we’d be done. Driving anywhere in the car is excellent for this. And it’s low stress bc it only takes a few minutes. Siblings can make it hard though.
