For $30, have the company purchase this microwave detector. He can use it whenever he wants and if the alarm is triggered, he can take a photo of the detector on his phone and submit to HR. He can run scans when people are microwaving their lunch and report any alarms that go off.
If the microwave triggers the alarm, then the microwave needs to be replaced. https://www.amazon.com/Perfect-Prime-Microwave-Detector-Backlight-Recalibration/dp/B00S3FQPAI/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=1JE8WICYSKFT2&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.e0cKQhFRKT31ggEfQ_4kapmXcmM7QT54Mzb5t9-A1v8nVaSZ9xn2pVLu1Y4XA9VrxI47v4v2-lb8b5PsWRFbm8H49WIM8-oyRQY44nE8w9-Av7-_u5qofx6Rthlb7M76MS9K3uOcS6plAZdDUj4-u--b-oKkryj9vz7MY6jrh_W4tula43yUGKHoXWkL0G2byx7JVUPrDNNlDPcH793SoKKh1dTIXc4y0-xr4UsTYB8.nGe89k3lerqB_d2zwEG4A45YV7AJB6q9cuZY3mRa268&dib_tag=se&keywords=microwave+detector&qid=1713374838&sprefix=microwave+detector%2Caps%2C107&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1 |
Your guy is correct. The radiation will make someone sick that's why you shouldn't stand close to one while waiting for food to heat.
It also makes food taste funny. Probably because it actually robs that food of nutrients. I know many people that won't eat microwave food or go near one. |

Offer him a tinfoil hat. |
My federal manager told me he saw Yeti in NY. Not the water bottle. He was not joking. |
You should never cook food, microwave or otherwise. It destroys nutrients. And it changes the flavor. |
You shouldn’t even eat food. It’s full of toxins. |
Don't get me started on dihydrogen monoxide. Everyone exposed to it dies. |
You know that there are some nutrients your body cannot access unless you cook the food, right? |
I had a friend who got rid of her microwave because she became convinced it would harm her children in some way. It's nonsense for people to think this way, but more common than you might think. |
This is amazing. I love it. |
How did man survive before there was fire? Or are you saying we have evolved to require cooked food in the last 50,000 years? |
Where do you guys find these people ?!? |
Dude, read the response. Don't just answer what comes up in your head. I wrote that there are some nutrients that your body cannot access unless you cook the food. That doesn't mean those are essential amino acids, and it doesn't mean you can't eat a lot more to compensate for the fact you aren't getting as much of some things from raw as from cooked food. But it does mean your admonition not to cook food is one of those things that makes sense as an article of faith more than reflection of science. |
