+1 How is this even a question? Or, are you locked in rigid, outdated gender roles? The couple decides if they want engagement rings and how they're purchased.

No one buys a man’s engagement ring. They only wear a wedding band. Not an engagement ring.


I don’t think men typically wear engagement rings.

If they do - I have never seen one wear one.

I think they only wear a wedding band after the wedding.

Engagement rings, no. When women in hetero relationships propose to men, it's a really fancy watch.
