This is the AAP forum, yet 12 of the top 25 posts are TJ posts - shouild their be a separate TJ forum?

If you post frequently enough about AAP on this forum then 99% chance you're also going to post about TJ. Think of it as a preview.

Some of you need to check yourselves and deal with your obsession to micromanage your kids. Stand down.

what's the obsession with counting appeal related posts?

TJ admission is related to AAP because many AAP families are interested in TJ.

If there were too many post about life in TJ or TJ to college application, then maybe it would be proper to separate. But that is not the case here.

Wanting to show off that TJ education.

The past few weeks had been dominated by AAP selection, which school to look at, school comparisons, AAP appeals, and the HOPE scores. TJ decisions were released on Friday so this week is more TJ focused. It is what it is.

Yes there should be a separate TJ forum!
I recently observed that many of the diet and exercise posts are related to the new weight loss drugs (at one point almost all on the first page) so I’d welcome a new forum there but that might be trickier perhaps.

Plus, the bifurcated post categories are wholly seasonal. TJ posts dominate at the moment because the admissions decision came out at 6 PM last Friday.

A few weeks earlier, the school system AAP decisions.

Over the summer, this forum won’t have any traffic (or the chatter will focus solely on CTY).

Seriously. They need to check their obsession with micromanaging how some parents want to see posts. Geez.

Generally speaking, when your AAP kids around 6-7th grade, you will start interested in reading TJ thread.

They already created the AAP forum to stop TJ overwhelming the Fairfax forum. Too many sub categories would destroy DCUM.

I Agree with OP . Many of the people are appealing who are already frustrated and this forum is the only holy place .especially for the first timers is gonna take some time to understand and navigate each topics . you all TJ supporters make a point we may be interested to know if we have 6th and 7th graders, but as the OP mentioned many of the this AAP seekers are 2-6 graders who are totally into Appealing,HOPE scores ,samples .TJ parents must have once been AAP Parents in the past and must have been in their shoes so let this forum be AAP .

People like you are the reason why AAP is hated. So self centered. This thread is basically an AAP thread anyway so I wouldn't count it in your list of TJ threads. Tj kids have 2 weeks to determine traveling for up to an hour away from their base school for four years which impacts college. If you want to talk about AAP start your own thread or post on another AAP thread. It will move your issue to the top just like any other post. Not that hard to do.

And the top 6 posts are all AAP posts as usual tonight. Oh what shall I do to find out about TJ? I might have to scroll.
