PP-he gets up between 2-2:30, he eats dinner, and when he's finished he's usually still waking up so he's not really doing a lot. than he gets in the shower, and it's usually time for him to leave. And she goes down for a nap usually right at the same time as he's leaving. (it's a late nap and usually leads to a later bedtime, but otherwise they would never see each other.) So no, I guess I don't really get that.
OP, why can't your husband spend time with you until the kids go to bed? Normal people get off work between 5pm and 7pm, then they head home with the kids, eat dinner, and get the kids bathed and into bed. I can't imagine your child is up later than 8pm. Have him spend time with you up until the kids goes to bed. Also, is he working 12 hours a night? Why not move closer to his job if his commute is 2 hours each way which is what it would be if he worked 8 hours, yet left at 4am and got home at 4pm. And yes, the more I think about this you really have nothing to complain about. |
LOL did you even read my original post? I am thinking you must not have, because 1.) I really wasn't complaining, just looking to compare daily routines with someone dealing with a similar schedule, and 2.) my husband works overnight. He is already long gone for the night before the baby is getting ready for bed. The quotes that you put up there weren't even posted by me.
So your husband leaves at 4am to beat traffic and gets home at 7pm? Just curious, what time is he off of work and does he come straight home? 15 hours is a long time to be out of the house.
4pm and 7am. Yeah he leaves early to beat traffic, and he carpools with another guy at work, and brings him home and than comes straight here. He does have very long days and barely has time to sleep before he goes back.
