Perfume?

Anonymous
I hate perfume and dislike large quantities of smells. I work at a high school and students smell like sweat and perfume mixed together. It’s just disgusting and confusing to my nose.

What kind do you wear with natural ingredients? I’d like to wear little perfume sometimes but get headaches from smells that are too strong. Maybe a more natural perfume would be okay.

I also generally enjoy picking up on the subtle fragrance others wear.
For instance when my sister rides in my car, her perfume lingers for a day or so - I like it, even though it’s not so subtle

Me too!

I had a nurse come to the house last week and I just LOVED whatever she was wearing. It was so beautiful and I think really elevated her look - scrubs and clogs. Funny, I know, but true. I also like wearing scent, but I'm older (48). I wear Chanel.

I use the Philosophy Pure Grace roller ball. I teeny bit on my wrists and behind my ears just smells like fresh laundry to me. I think it must be extremely subtle because no one can smell it unless they hug me. My kids call it my “mama smell.” My mom wore Chanel on special occasions and smelling it anywhere now brings her back to me immediately.

Burberry is nice.

I love Marc Jacobs Daisy Fresh and I also love Bath and Body works Gingham.
These 2 scents are fresh and “cool”-ie; not strong .

Yes, I wear it occasionally, but not daily. I use unscented everything in the household. But I have some Chanel perfume I love to wear, one that is lightly for day, a heavier one for evening. I buy the concentrate in the glass bottle with stopper, not the spray kind. This allows me to put on literally just a dab and not have my hair and clothes smell. You can only smell it up close and personal- which is how I think perfume should be.
I dislike when someone’s scent fills up a room

Everyday, late 40s. At work or any sort of school events I wear very light ones. Anything jo Malone would be appropriate, try Mimosa & Cardamom. Also hermes
Eau des Merveilles or guerlain aqua allegoria line.

I like light scents, nothing heavy. I used to wear only jo Malone but I’ve ventured into Byredo lately. They have a “sample pack” of 3 scents in little sprays so I use those. If I like one enough, I’ll buy the bigger bottle. So far my favs are la tulipe, Mohave ghost, rose of no man’s land, gypsy water

I wear perfume everyday. I love Chanel 1938
And by the size of the redesigned perfume section at Tysons Bloomingdale’s, so do a lot of other women. The average price of designer scents are well over $100. I don’t think they’re catering to high school girls.

I wear it every day but I work from home 😬

If you want a lower cost, cruelty-free option, look into Dossier. They make dupes for a lot of the fancy stuff and honestly, the average nose can’t tell the difference. I have some Jo Malone and the Dossier is a very close dupe. At over 70% less than Jo Malone, cruelty-free, and a generous return policy…can’t go wrong.
