Is there a reasonably priced option for the week after Xmas?

I’m working on this now. We’re going someplace in Central America. I’ve found decent pricing in Airbnb for timeshare condos located in a beach resort. So you book the Airbnb and have access to all resort amenities. I can pay an additional daily resort fee if I want to make it truly all inclusive. I’m looking at Playacar at the moment. $1650 per room for 2 people with all inclusive. This is for 5 nights. I will book 2 rooms in order to get 2 bathrooms.

Airfare seems to be another story. It’s awful. I was pricing Cancun to DC and the lowest I found is $600 one way with a nice long stop in Atl. Direct is running 9-1200 for economy pp. I grabbed at 15k pp on miles from BWI-Cancun a few weeks ago.

So at the moment, I can get there, I’ve found a decent option for lodging, but we can’t get home yet.

Luckily my outbound and lodging are all refundable.
