Amazon Scam?

The flaw in this response is that the entire Amazon model is premised on the fact that I pay an annual fee in addition to buying the product and in turn I enjoy the benefit of next-day shipping. They are fully in their rights to say we don’t have xyz product available to ship the next day, and I would have no reason to complain. But they said they had the product and it would arrive on time. So yeah, that’s different.

That's really just what you think it is. What it really is is a vast and barely supervised network of drop shippers. Amazon never had your product. Amazon isn't a store.

Yeah, Amazon has been a “legal” black market for stolen or ripped off/fake goods forever.

And this is one big reason that I have stopped using Amazon and cancelled my Prime membership.

Just stop using them, OP. It's been almost a year now, and I don't miss it at all!

My kids and I had a blast when they got home with our glasses. $2.50 a pair and authentic to boot thanks to Lowe’s and the power of the internet to confirm authenticity. Good for you for making your own viewer. Not all of us are so inclined. We’ll also be keeping them as souvenirs of the day.
