Chances at case western?

He got into Case Western (with six figures of aid), Vassar, and Lehigh. He's thinking of going to Case Western or doing community college for a year and reapplying to most of the ones he didn't get into. He wants to major in computer science.

My DD got in EA - slightly higher GPA but test optional so I think your child would have good chances. I do recall hearing of kids with higher stats than my DD get rejected.

Must demonstrate interest. Go visit them. Every August they come to Pooks Hill Marriot in Bethesda. Attend that. Do online events.

My kid is a sophomore at Case with the highest level of merit aid EA. He had a 4.7 and 1480 SAT.

How would being a community college transfer student improve his chances?
