What a bum teacher you are.

Not a bum teacher. Just an honest one! lol

My daughter is in kindergarten and I trust her teacher entirely to make her keep her glasses on. Her teacher has been doing this for almost 30 years and she has complete classroom management control. If you don’t believe in your teachers, then go pick up your kids. Problem solved.

Our school isn’t providing glasses at all and making kids stay in. I’m picking up early so my kids can see it at home outside with the glasses.

Only a few more hours and everyone can stop talking about this! I can't wait! By dinner tonight the madness will be over.

Exactly. But I'm just so tired of hearing about it, especially for people who are staying around town. But really everyone. We can go back to bemoaning the middle east and the advanced age of both of our presidential candidates.

Will small kids in K and first grade actually keep their glasses on properly the whole time without constant supervision? Should I pick my kid up to watch with me just to be safe?

Yes. That’s what I’m doing and my kids are older. I want to be directly supervising them and making sure they have glasses on.

You are absolutely nuts

So everyone picking up their kids early are nuts?

Yes. Bat$hit crazy

No I'm not batshit crazy but my ES in MCPS won't let the kids outside and my kids want to see the Eclipse so now I have to pick them up early to see it. I'm not worried about safety!

Our school is handing out glasses and taking the kids outside. Not to be a complete bummer but it is supposed to be really cloudy this afternoon so I'm not sure what any of us are going to see.

I am thrilled that my kid’s FCPS elementary is taken out the kids with glasses. What an awesome experience for them! I expected the opposite (cancel recess, nobody goes outside). Love that they are embracing it and not worried at all.
